Western Colorado Congress is an alliance for community action, empowering people to protect and enhance their quality of life in western Colorado.

Over the past 28 years, WCC members have tackled - and won on - a wide variety of issues.  For example, this year our accomplishments include: setting the stage for the passage of House Bill 1414, which sets higher standards for waste water pits associated with natural gas drilling, thus better protecting public health and the environment; sending four of our members to Washington, DC to lobby in support of the Dominguez Escalante National Conservation Area bill; and filing a lawsuit in federal district court challenging the US Forest Service's and BLM's approval of the Bull Mountain pipeline through three separate roadless areas.

Western Colorado Congress is comprised of 3000 individual members and eight local community groups from Telluride to Steamboat Springs.
